Sankt Andreasberg is nestled into the Harz National Park, which offers ideal conditions for hiking, cycling, fishing and skiing. The summer luge is just a short walk from the site.

The owners offer two modern residences for the most enjoyable time of the year, either the ca. 150m² holiday house or the 90m² holiday apartment.

In summer you can grill in front of the house. There is lockable storage space (payable) available for motorbikes and bicycles on request. There is also ski storage space. Parking bays in front of the site can be used free of charge.

A laundry package (with hand and bath towel, complete bed linen) can be hired for a fee. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

The national park community of St. Andreasberg lies at 600 to 900 meters above sea level and offers ideal conditions for hiking, cycling, fishing and skiing. Attractions include the 550m long summer toboggan run, the high ropes course with zip line, the Samson pit, which is a World Heritage Site, and the annual traditional festivals. In winter you will find the alpine and snowboard centers with lifts and restaurants on both Matthias-Schmidt-Berg and nearby Sonnenberg. Cross-country skiers will also find perfect conditions in and around St. Andreasberg. And if you like tobogganing, there is no way around Sankt Andreasberg: the toboggan slope with snow tubing right next to the Kurhaus is a magnet for visitors of all ages. There is also a playground and a mini golf course in the spa gardens. Various restaurants are nearby, as well as a supermarket, bakery butcher, cafe and various shops.
From Sankt Andreasberg you can make great day trips to Braunlage (12 km), Bad Lauterberg (12 km), Clausthal-Zellerfeld (21 km) and Bad Harzburg (25 km). Goslar, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg can be reached in about 40 minutes. The A395 can be reached in 35 minutes, the A7 motorway in 40 and the A38 in 50 minutes by car.

Beautiful apartment for 4 to 8 people in the Upper Harz

The modern holiday apartment was completely newly renovated at the end of 2014 and provides around 90m² of space for up to eight people. The entrance is on the first floor. The three bedrooms each with a double bed (box spring beds) are on the first and second floors. A sofa in the living and dining room on the second floor can be folded out as a bed for two people. Groups up to eight people can therefore be accommodated easily. The large dining table in the living room, with a hatch through to the kitchen, invites you to enjoy cosy games evenings in the autumn and winter, as well as to end a lovely day in spring or summer with a glass of wine and a homemade meal. The modern kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a ceramic hob, an oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and toaster, and plenty of crockery. All the bedrooms and the living room have a flatscreen TV. A stereo system is available. Both bathrooms are fitted with a shower, washbasin and WC.

    “Es fehlte an nichts. Die Wohnung war für 8 Personen großzügig ausgestattet, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber, kurzum: sehr empfehlenswert.
    Frau Schmitz war eine ausgesprochen nette Gastgeberin.”

    “Wohnung gut geschnitten für unsere Bedürfnisse. 3 Schlafzimmer, eins davon im 1. OG. Restliche Zimmer im 2. OG. Ein kleines, ein großes Bad, Küche, Wohnzimmer, Essbereich. Treppen sehr steil, für gehbehinderte Menschen sicherlich schwer zu bewältigen.

    Im Internet ist die Wohnung sehr toll vermarktet. Vor Ort stellt man fest, dass sie nicht ganz so schick ist. Die Möbel sind schon älter.

    Irgendwo aus dem Haus zieht bis nach oben Zigarettenqualm in die Wohnung. Es wird versucht, das mit Steckdosendüften zu vertuschen. Insgesamt ergibt das einen ekligen Gestank. Nichts für feine Nasen.

    Sehr gute Lage. Nahkauf gegenüber. Restaurants in der Nähe. Zum Bäcker 2 Gehminuten. Hat auch sonntags auf.

    Wohnung ist ruhig, nichts gehört aus anderen Wohnungen.

    2 Rollos defekt, 1 Fernbedienung defekt.

    Wir haben uns insgesamt wohl gefühlt.”
