Holiday house with a light and modern interior and a fabulous view of the sea and the surrounding nature
The modern holiday house is by the sea, with a spectacular view of the wildly romantic coast, in Ponta Delgada, the sunniest village on the north side of the island of Madeira. This is Madeira at its most original. The house provides 85m² of living space for a total of four people. The house is suitable for individuals and couples, or also for a family or small group.
The house built in 2008 is solid and has sound and thermal insulation, as well as double glazing in the big windows. A fireplace stove in the living room (firewood is provided) ensures pleasant warmth throughout the house and it stays pleasantly cool in the summer. Light oak flooring and built-in cupboards, as well as the contemporary furniture round off the overall impression. The living room has a dining table for meals together, a sofa and two armchairs, and a TV with a USB port. The kitchen is well-equipped and is convenient for cooking. It has a stove, oven, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave and coffee machine. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (140 x 200cm) and one with two single beds (90 x 200cm). A cot is available free of charge on request. There are two bathrooms with a bath and shower respectively, a washbasin, hairdryer and WC.
The house has a terrace with garden furniture and a little charcoal grill. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view over the bay. The private boat jetty is also available for use and is also convenient for swimming in the sea. There are private car parking spaces on site and a laundry service is available at a small supplementary charge.
The seawater swimming pool at Ponta Delgada (open from April to October) is a minute away down some steps. The village provides all the necessary shopping facilities, as well as a health centre. There are several holiday houses next to each other. Long-term stays are also welcome, rates are available on request. The owner’s family occasionally use the other houses at weekends and during holidays.
