An oasis of nature
Our cottage is nestled in the heart of a pretty wooded garden, an oasis of nature and greenery where families with young children can discover our cats and chickens and listen to the songs of the birds which are numerous here (LPO reserve - Ligue of Bird Protection).
Located in the Pays de Cocagne, about an hour from many sites steeped in history: Carcassonne, the Cathar Castles, Albi, Cordes-sur-ciel, Castres, Sidobre, the Montagne Noire, Toulouse and many other places that we can recommend you, there will be no shortage of ideas for excursions.
** Hiking: our plus for nature lovers, many hiking or mountain biking trails are accessible from the cottage without taking the car. The town of Puylaurens has more than 200km of loops combined on old rural roads, which allow you to discover a pretty hilly and green countryside. We are members of the Chemins du Pastel association for the maintenance of hiking trails, so we can easily guide you and show you a book with the surrounding hikes.
** THE GITE **
Gîte adjoining the owners' house, not overlooked, with private grassy and tree-lined garden, two north and south terraces, depending on the amount of sunshine.
Single storey gîte:
- equipped kitchen: oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer, filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, hand blender and citrus press.
- living room with lounge and dining table, TV and books. The living room opens onto a terrace
- blue bedroom with 140x190cm double bed, desk and wardrobe
- orange bedroom with two 90cm single beds
- bathroom with walk-in shower, large sink and toilet.
Baby equipment available: child's bed, high chair, bathtub, inflatable round swimming pool and toys.
Table tennis, badminton, pétanque and wooden games made by Franc (former cabinetmaker). A barbecue is available as well as garden furniture. You can park your car next to the cottage and on one level.
