Lieper Winkel is accessed along a main traffic artery, which is partly a boulevard. Liepe, which gave its name to this lovely spot, is in the centre of the peninsula. There are some quiet places to swim for those who like peace and quiet, within 2-3km. Restaurants and two little shops can be found in the neighbouring towns. An Aldi, Plus, a post office and doctors are in the town of Usedom 13km away and it is 2.5km to Rankwitz harbour. Delious fish specialities are served in the the Alte Räucherei. There is a well-stocked fishmonger open every day with fresh and smoked fish. Liepe has the oldest documented church, which is made of brick without a tower. The Baltic Sea towns are about half an hour away (28km).
