Holiday house with a big veranda, right by the lake

If you would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of Lapland in comfort, sit at the lake in summer and fish, watch elk, drive a quad or go ice fishing in winter, be active with a snowmobile or explore the old forests of Sweden by husky sled, then this is the right holiday residence for you. Lapland House is in northern Sweden, about 100km to the south of the Arctic Circle. It is a typical Swedish house and is right by a lake, in the quiet locality of Abborrträsk. You will have the feeling of being quite alone, but still have neighbours. The 250m² house on a 2100m² site and a detached double garage has two floors and a basement. The ground floor comprises a hallway, guest WC, kitchen and living room with air conditioning. The upper floor has a bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with two single beds, as well as a little gallery. The basement has a modern bathroom with a shower, bath, WC and washbasin, as well as a generous entrance area and utility rooms. You can let yourself be enchanted by the tranquillity and nature of Lapland on the generous, roofed veranda. In winter you are almost guaranteed to see unique northern lights. There is a sauna with a relaxation area and showers, as well as a fitness room in the communal house 50 metres away. A house service welcomes you on arrival at the house and is available to contact during your stay. A transfer service to and from Arvidsjaur airport 20 minutes away can be booked at a supplementary cost. The house is non-smoking and is equipped for self-catering. Abborrträsk has a little grocery shop with a petrol station, an outdoor summer pool with a minigolf course and open-air stage, a car garage and a cultural house. It is 15 minutes from Abborrträsk to the next largest town, Arvidsjaur, with further shopping and cultural facilities, as well as a church, a train station and the historical Lappstaden (an old Sami village). You can go fishing or ice fishing in winter at the lake behind the house or in one of the 365 surrounding lakes. You can purchase a fishing permit at the shop in Abborrträsk.     “Caretakers very friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for more!! The house itself was so-so. We have trouble climbing stairs, and no toilet near the bedrooms upstairs meant that we had to sleep in the living room on the main floor. There was another toilet and shower in the basement, which we did use (with difficulty), since there was no shower with the toilet on the main floor. Nice fireplace, but it was not situated where we could sit in the living room and watch the fire. Kitchen was great, very bright and cheerful in the daytime, well equipped and clean.     “Als Radler ohne Navi haben wir uns zuerst über die fehlerfreie Wegweisung zum ruhig gelegenen Haus sehr gefreut.
    Die Feuerstelle im Garten lädt zum Grillen und Verweilen ein. Die gepflegten Zimmer und vor allem die bequemen Betten taten echt gut. Der kurze Weg zum See lädt zum frühmorgendlichen Schwimmen ein. Als Radnomaden konnten wir leider nur eine Nacht bleiben.”
