Casa Melita

Casa Melita is an authentically 400 year old house of character situated in the historical village of Rabat. This beautiful 3 bedroomed house, which has been recently restored to include modern comforts lies in a peaceful pedestrian road close to St Paul parish church and village core. All the downstairs rooms surround a sunny courtyard, with barbecue facilities and full privacy. The ground floor includes a wide entrance hall, a fully-equipped separate kitchen and dining area and a lovely lounge/ living room, complete with satellite television. There is also a guest toilet on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is through an internal stone staircase. On the first floor you'll find three double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom facilities. The main bathroom is also found on this floor. Access to the roof terrace is through a wrought iron spiral staircase. On this floor you can enjoy a lovely roof terrace from where you can admire the surrounding old and peaceful villages.     “Unser Urlaub war wirklich super in jeder Hinsicht mit Ausnahme des Lärms verursacht durch die täglichen Feuerwerke. N.B. Herr Tanti war immer zur Verfügung und ich bedanke mich noch einmal bei ihm. Positiv: Die Nähe zur Altstadt Mdima, die vielen Restaurants mit Garten, die guten Busverbindungen nach allen Orten und natürlich die super Wohnung. Negativ: In der ersten July Woche würde ich keinen Urlaub mehr machen in Rabat da die ganze Stadt eine Woche lang ein Fest feiert und Tag und Nacht Feuerwerk gezündet wird. Restaurant: Carmens Bar in Lapsi - Fantastischer frischer Fisch und direkt am Meer.”

    “Ein hervorragend ausgestattetes Fereinhaus in zentraler Lage in Rabat. Herr Tanti (Vermieter) ist sehr darum bemüht, seinen Gästen einen guten Start in den Urlaub zu ermöglichen, auch mit Tips und Hinweisen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und ruhig, da in einer Fußgängerzone gelegen. Gesamt Rabat und Mdina kann man bequem zu Fuß erkunden. Mehrere Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in max. 5 min Lauf-Entfernung. Auch ein Start-Vorrat (Brot, Milch, Wurst, Käse, Wasser) für den ersten Tag findet sich im Kühlschrank ! Alles in allem - vor allem für Familien ein empfehlenswertes Quartier - im typisch maltesischen Stil. Positiv: Die freundliche Aufnahme und der Charme des Hauses. Negativ: Die aufwändige Parkplatzsuche - aber das ist ein generelles Problem in der Innenstadt von Rabat Ausflüge: Roter Turm - Im Nordwesten der Insel (in der Nähe von Mellieha) findet sich ein "Roter Turm". Von diesem hat man einen sehr guten Ausblick über die Meerenge zwischen Malta und Gozo / Comino und den Norden der Insel”
