The fortress walls are very worthwhile seeing and especially offer a lovely view of the island. Annually on the second weekend in May the medieval festival Eivissa in Dalt Vila takes place. The medieval markets with many performers and musicians provide for a great atmosphere.The other two towns on island Sant Antoni and Santa Eularia have also there appeal.

Many old fortified towers around the island such as the Torre del Pirata on the south-western part of Ibiza or the Torre de ses Portes offer great viewpoints and are very popular day trips for example during the course of a cycling or hiking trip.

A further highlight is a visit of the marshland at Ses Selines. In this region one will not only find a lovely beach but there is also a nature reserve with an impressive diversity of birds and plants which include flamingos, ospreys and even falcons.

A further legendary trip is Sant Carles de Peralta. In the 1970s this place was the centre of the Hippie movement and from this time still the Bar Anita's exists. Here and at the Hippie market that takes place every Saturday the atmosphere of past time remains alive.

Possibly the colourful and fascinating nightlife which takes place nowadays on Ibiza has its roots in the Hippie era. In Ibiza-Town one can for example find the world famous nighclub Pacha and Privelige near Sant Rafel has entered the Guinness Book of Records being the world’s largest disco whilst the Amnesia has several times been awarded the “Best Global Club” giving it the right to claim it is the best nightclub on the globe.
